Turkish Airlines stands by Graz Airport

Turkish Airlines denies recent rumours that the airline is planning to move its operations from Graz to Linz.

Feldkirchen bei Graz, December 21, 2018: Online sources have been spreading the rumour that Turkish Airlines will fly from Linz instead of Graz on its summer 2019 schedule. Hüseyin Güzel, General Manager of Turkish Airlines in Graz, confirms that Turkish Airlines will be staying in Graz.

“We are very pleased with the development of the Graz to Istanbul route this year! Any rumours that we are planning to move our operations from Graz to Linz are incorrect: we are trying to find a suitable aircraft to fly Graz-Istanbul daily in the summer, though it’s currently not possible due to capacity constraints”, Hüseyin Güzel confirmed.
“I also wish to congratulate Graz Airport, with whom we have a great partnership, on reaching the million-passenger mark. We are pleased that Turkish Airlines has made a contribution to this success!”

“Turkish Airlines is a very important partner for us”, says Gerhard Widmann, Managing Director of Graz Airport. “And Istanbul is one of the most important European hubs, where Turkish Airlines links us with a further 304 destinations in 122 countries. So I’m all the more happy about the airline’s firm commitment to Graz Airport!”
