Feldkirchen/Graz, 16.06 2021: Holiday flights from Graz are picking up speed. TUI and European Air Charter are operating weekly flights to Heraklion from today and also to Rhodes from tomorrow. More departures ramped up per week to the two popular Greek islands and additional destinations to follow in the coming weeks.

Gottfried Math, Managing Director of TUI Österreich “We are starting the summer season in Graz today with our flight to Crete. I am really pleased that we are continuing the cooperation with our proven partners European Air Charter and Graz Airport. This year, the topic of safety is at the forefront of holiday planning. This also includes the shortest possible journey. We have therefore strengthened our summer programme from Graz and are offering 15 flights per week to Greece, Mallorca, Cyprus, Turkey and Egypt. As a Styrian myself, I appreciate it when I can get on the holiday plane right in Graz. In addition to proven holiday destinations such as Crete or Mallorca, we also have new holiday destinations such as Zakynthos, Karpathos and Cyprus in our programme. So there is nothing standing in the way of a relaxed and carefree holiday.”

“European Air Charter jets have been regular guests in Styria since 2014. We are pleased to return today and connect Graz Airport six times a week (daily from August) to the most popular holiday destinations on the Mediterranean. With Greece and Cyprus, we are focusing on the absolute trend destinations of this summer together with our tour operator partners,” announces Thomas Simandl, General Manager Austria International Carrier Consult GmbH (General Sales Agent of European Air Charter).

From the end of June, these holidays will not only be offered by TUI but also by the tour operators Alltours, REWE Austria Touristik GmbH, FTI Touristik, Schauinsland Reisen in cooperation with European Air Charter.

“The fact that Greece has prepared very well for this special summer season is also reflected in the high demand,” explains Wolfgang Grimus, Managing Director of Graz Airport. “In total, we have 9 Greek islands on offer from Graz this summer, in addition to several other attractive destinations. In addition to Heraklion and Rhodes, flights to Larnaca and Palma de Mallorca will also be extended until the end of October.”
