Graz Airport: Winter Flight Schedule
The upcoming Winter Flight Schedule 2017/18 once more underlines the importance of scheduled flight services: The number of flights to Frankfurt and Munich will increase.
Feldkirchen near Graz, 25/10/2017: Every year, the last Sunday in October marks the start of the winter flight schedule. The new flight schedule of Graz Airport includes about 130 weekly scheduled flights to 6 major and 2 medium-sized hubs. In addition, it also offers regular flights to destinations in the south.
More scheduled flights
The trend of recent years continues and scheduled flights are becoming more and more important. Austrian Airlines’ services to Frankfurt will temporarily be increased this winter: In November and then again from mid-February, the airline will offer an additional flight per day, i.e. 5 daily departures from Monday to Thursday from Graz to the large hub of Frankfurt Airport.
Flights to Munich will also increase from 31 to 33 flights per week.
The new services by bmi to Birmingham and KLM to Amsterdam had a good start, with the KLM service even showing a seat-load factor of more than 80%. Accordingly, these services will continue throughout the winter.
In addition, the flight schedule will of course continue to feature the popular services to Düsseldorf, Istanbul, Stuttgart, Vienna and Zurich.
Charter flights in the winter season
The demand for flights to Egypt – a destination with guaranteed sunshine – has again strongly increased over the last few months. Therefore, the winter flight schedule does not only offer flights to Hurghada, but also to Marsa Alam. Flights to Tenerife depart every Saturday. And there will be direct flights to Palma de Mallorca around Christmas/New Year's Eve and then again from the beginning of March.
In addition, the programme also includes a special flight to the Geneva Motor Show in March.
