New travel regulations

Passengers coming from Cyprus are subject to new entry requirements as of August 3rd.

+++UPDATE: Restrictions do not apply to travellers from Spain and the Netherlands anymore - proof is necessary now only for passengers from Cyprus+++ (As of 15.9.2021)

According to the amendment to the entry regulations persons arriving at an Austrian airport with a direct flight from the Netherlands, Spain or Cyprus need to have a proof of full vaccination, a negative PCR test or a medical certificate of a past infection within the last 90 days.

Without proof – Registration & On-site test

If there is no proof the person has to register and undergo a PCR test at the airport immediately. A PCR test point is available after immigration in the departure hall free of charge.

If due to special circumstances an immediate test at the airport is not possible it can be made later in exceptional cases but within 24 hours. Contact details will be required in such a case, but there is no immediate obligation for quarantine.

Children up to twelve years are exempt.
