111,111th Turkish Airlines passenger

The Turkish Airlines flight from Graz to Istanbul took off this morning with its 111,111th passenger for this route on board.

Passenger Eva WENDLER had a very special surprise at 9 o’clock in the morning at Graz Airport. Shortly before boarding her flight to Istanbul she was called to the departures desk, where Hüseyin Güzel (Turkish Airlines General Manager Graz) and Gerhard Widmann (Managing Director of Graz Airport) offered her their warmest congratulations.

It was “a fantastic surprise” for the passenger. For she was also treated to 2 business class tickets to Istanbul by Turkish Airlines and a voucher worth 200 euros by Graz Airport.

Positive growth in volumes for the Graz-Istanbul route

Hüseyin and Widmann are both very satisfied at the positive growth in volumes for the Graz-Istanbul route, which recently started flying into the new airport for Istanbul.

Graz Airport has been part of Turkish Airlines’ global network since the summer of 2015 and currently offers four flights a week. The airline, which flies to more destinations than any other airline, operates out of Vienna, Salzburg and Graz in Austria.
