Winter flight schedule 2006/2007!

Graz Airport makes it possible: warm feet in cold winter!

A winter flight schedule which belies its name: On October 29th, the “winter” flight schedule gets off the ground at Graz Airport, but despite its name many of the flights will head right into summer.

Feldkirchen, 27 Oct. 2006:  “Escaping for one or two weeks to the warm south does not have to remain a dream – direct flights from Graz Airport will conveniently and comfortably take you south!”, says Mag. Gerhard Widmann, Managing Director of Graz Airport.

The Canary Islands are, without doubt, one of Austrian holidaymakers’ favourite winter destinations. Be it Grand Canary or Tenerife – both belong to the islands of eternal spring, as the Canaries are also called – both hold a lot in store for sun worshippers and culture-vultures alike. Both islands are also perfect for exploring on hiking tours.

Sunshine will be guaranteed if you travel to Egypt. Two flights per week will take you to Hurghada and one to Sharm el Sheik, where the clear water of the Red Sea offers more than mere swimming pleasure: The coral reefs are rich in colourful fish and exciting for young and old – so don’t forget to pack your snorkel, diving goggles and fins.

Every Saturday, a flight will leave for Antalya. Turkey’s assets are the many hours of sunshine and its archaeological riches that bring historical times closer to the layman.

At the end of the winter season, from March 19th, there will be weekly flights to Funchal on Madeira. The perfect time to enjoy the blooming glory of the famous flower island.

In addition to the above, there will also be special flights catering to various demands. Let us mention just two: In March, there will be a flight for auto enthusiasts to the Geneva Motor Show, and – also in March – a round trip through Libya will offer the opportunity to follow the tracks of the Phoenicians, Greeks and Romans.

Graz Airport has the right offer for city hoppers, too: In addition to flights to London, Gothenburg, Friedrichshafen, Frankfurt etc., there will be a direct connection to Berlin as from October 29th. Flight days will be Monday, Wednesday, Friday and Sunday and ensure a lot of flexibility for travel planning. Be it an entire week of culture, or just a shopping mini-break, perhaps a trip to the famous Berlin Christmas markets – anything goes. The flight carrier is InterSky, the low fair airline from Vorarlberg, which is not only famous for its reliability but also for its favourable rates.
